Silver Diner doesn’t disappoint
You know what you can rely on? Silver Diner. I enjoyed some eggs Benedict this morning while Nayyera saw that the burgers were halal and decided to devour one for breakfast. As I sat there looking across the table, it was like being transported back 18 years ago. The conversations were a bit different, i.e. what Idris’ third birthday party would be like rather than what to look for in a man but it was still Nay telling me what I needed to hear while wearing a tiger print shirt.
I am debating if I go to the Renaissance Festival tomorrow. It’s my last memory if Hadi before we started our journey with aplastic anemia. I figure I will go and enjoy because as I have harshly learned, I am not sure what the next day will bring. I am forty years old and have some pretty intense hardships under my belt. Cue various “I am a survivor” songs. Ya know what? I previously said I didn’t like being called strong...yeah, bring it on. Any other statements of why you love me would be greatly appreciated.
